Matthew Quigley Buffalo Rifle Match

This is a long range rifle competition using original or replica period firearms from the glory days of buffalo hide trade. Period attire is encouraged but not required. Largest shoot of its type in the nation. The longest target is a steel Buffalo at 800 yards. The firing line extends over 500 yards. Usually over 600 shooters from 33 states and 6 foreign countries. The Match is shot every year on Fathers Day weekend. Range is open for practice and sighting in for 5 days prior to match. The Friday before the contest is final registration day. This event is billed as 'The largest rifle shooting event in Eastern Montana since the Custer Massacre.'
