The Locomotive Inn offers all the amenities of big city accommodations with small town hospitality. Laurel, Montana is in the center of a region rich in history and filled with recreational opportunities. History buffs can visit 'The Lodge Where They All Danced' and Buffalo Mirage, two Lewis and Clark sites near Laurel. The Canyon Creek Battlefield where the Nez Perce, led by Chief Joseph, and the U.S. Calvary fought is just eight miles north of Laurel on the historic Nez Perce Trail. Excellent fishing and hunting are just a short drive away. In the summer, try white water rafting on the rivers nearby and in the winter, enjoy skiing and snowmobiling. Laurel celebrates the seasons with spectacular festivities and happenings. The July 4th fireworks rival any independence celebration in the state. The Open Farmer's Markets are held each Wednesday from mid July through the first of October. The Christmas season finds both the business and residential districts beautifully decorated and the Parade of Lights is held the first Sunday in December.
