Construction of a major arterial highway through the park began in 2020 and will probably be completed by 2022. This work will cause some temporary disruption of access to various areas of Dover Park. Visit our website for more information.
The park is 142 acres of land donated to Yellowstone Parks and Recreation Association (YPRA) for development into a public park. It includes nearly a mile of riverfront, over 3 miles of groomed trails for walkers, runners, mountain bikers, and affords spectacular views of the Yellowstone River and Five Mile Creek. A short hike to the river provides fishing. Waterless toilets and picnic facilities are available at the trail-head and Lois’s Point overlook.
There is no admission fee, but we appreciate donations. YRPA is still an all-volunteer non-profit.
