ZooMontana presents Boo at the Zoo: a delightful, not frightful, free event full of candy, animals, costumes, presentations and fun events like magic and mad scientist shows. Kids and adults are invited to wear costumes and bring a bag or bucket for candy, but please do not wear masks as it can scare the animals.
MASQUERADE AT THE YAM – BILLINGS
Saturday, October 26, 2019: 7-11pm
The Yellowstone Art Museum’s Masquerade is everything you will want (and more) from a costume party. Come in your Halloween best. Fair warning—people take this seriously. There are fun prizes for the most creative costumes! A live deejay will guide you through the night with entertainment from local aerial acrobats, a performance from the Billings Tesseract Dance Collective, a belly-dancing group, and mystical journeys into the unknown.
NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM – BAKER
Sunday October 27, 2019: 4-8pm
The O’Fallon Historical Museum, housed in the original Fallon County Jail and built in 1916, invites those with a pension for the paranormal to experience a Night at the Museum. This after dark tour of the building includes a visit to the room where Sheriff Andy Andelshek shot himself in the heart after an estrangement with his fiancé. Rumors of haunted happenings surround the museum while actors portray Sheriff Andy and others in spooky reenactments of haunted stories.
DOWNTOWN TRICK OR TREAT – BILLINGS
Thursday, October 31, 2019: 12-5pm
This Halloween, downtown Billings is a one-stop shop for festive merriment. Kids are invited to trick-or-treat with parents for candy and healthy treats, and there will also be plenty of Halloween themed activities and events. Maps and treat bags are available at the Downtown Billings Alliance office. Look for businesses with balloons and a special poster on the door to designate participation.
FAMILY PARADE AND EVENT – ROUNDUP
Thursday October 31, 2019: 5:30-8pm
Roundup, located in Musselshell County, is a trick-or-treater’s dream this Halloween. Little princesses and pirates can take in the Halloween parade led by the Roundup Volunteer Fire Department and a fire truck on Main Street. The parade starts at Arcade Bar on Main Street and ends at St. Benedict Catholic Church on the corner of 5th and Main where there will be hot dogs and beverages. Then, the sheriff’s office will hand out glow sticks for the trick or treaters. Then, the official door-to-door begging begins.
As a bonus, starting at 5:30-8:00pm there will be a Haunted Hospital at Roundup Memorial Healthcare where residents of the nursing home will hand out candy to tricksters.
