Celebrate National Fossil Day at Makoshika State Park

(Glendive, MT) - Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will celebrate National Fossil Day at Makoshika State Park on Saturday, October 13 from 1:00pm to3:00pm.

Join us for the first annual National Fossil Day event at Makoshika State Park. Park staff and our local paleontology partners, Baisch's Montana Dinosaur Digs, LLC and Frontier Gateway Museum will present fun activities and games from 1pm to 3pm. As part of the event, the Glendive Dinosaur and Fossil Museum will also have a discounted entrance fee that day of $5.00.

National Fossil Day is an annual celebration held to highlight the scientific and educational value of paleontology and the importance of preserving fossils for future generations. National Fossil Day is organized through a partnership between the National Park Service and a growing list of federal and state agencies, professional organizations, museums and universities, and other groups.
