NorsktOberfest is a two-day festival event to celebrate the substantial German and Scandinavian cultural heritages of Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota. The event is an Oktoberfest-style festival with a Scandinavian flair. It features live traditional German/Scandinavian music, traditional and contemporary cuisine, crafts vendors, Viking reenactors, lots of games and activities for kids, and the NorsktOber Games team contests for adults - which include axe-throwing, hammerschlagen, keg hurling, rock tossing and culminates in a beer relay. And of course there's beer, lots of beer, including kegs of Hofbrauhaus beer brought direct from Munich, Germany itself!
