Located at McClain (Hospital) Park, local business organizations and individuals adopt trees to decorate creating a holiday wonderland for all to enjoy. There will be games, warm food like hot dogs and hot cocoa, a photo booth, carriage rides, Christmas music from the community choir and an official tree lighting.

DOWNTOWN BILLINGS ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE – BILLINGS
Friday, November 29 – 7:00 p.m.

Gather up the family and kick-off the holiday season. A long-standing tradition for Billings, this parade is organized by the Downtown Billings Alliance (DBA), a non-profit organization that advocates for a vibrant and thriving downtown. Each float is created by local businesses, organizations and community groups that want to spread their holiday spirit to the community. Be sure to stick around until the very end for everyone’s favorite - jolly ol’ Saint Nick. More information available here.

GLENDIVE LIGHT PARADE – GLENDIVE
Friday, November 29 – 7:00 p.m.

The streets of Glendive come alive with holiday lights as the 33^rd Annual Light Parade works its way down Merrill avenue. This year the theme is “Christmas Around the World”. Following the parade, the annual lighting ceremony at Gazebo Park signifies the official start to the holiday season. Because no chilly November night is complete without hot chocolate, the Community Christmas group will be handing out warm cups of cocoa. While you’re out and about in Downtown Glendive, many retailers will be open for your holiday shopping needs – look for painted rocks to receive discounts and special offers. SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY – REGION WIDE

LAUREL CHRISTMAS STROLL – LAUREL
Sunday, December 1 – Noon – 8 p.m.

It’s a full day of festive fun in the streets of Laurel during their annual Christmas Stroll. With events such as shopping, hayrides, roasting s’mores, pictures with Santa or with Cindy Lou-Who and The Grinch throughout the day, there’s something for everyone in your family. Stay for the lighted Christmas parade, which starts at at 5:15 p.m on Main Street. Fireworks will immediately follow the conclusion of the parade. More information available here.

LIGHT PARADE – TERRY
Wednesday, December 4 – 6:00 p.m.

Join the Prairie County Chamber of Commerce for their annual Light Parade in downtown Terry. Marvel with the family at the holiday floats and decked out vehicles as they brighten Logan Avenue with twinkling lights and holiday music. If you fall in love with Terry – which we know will – come back on December 19^th for the Live Nativity also at 6:00 p.m. on Logan Ave.

BROADUS CHRISTMAS STROLL – BROADUS
Friday, December 6

Get transported to Who-ville in Southeast Montana! Wander from store to store as you meet Who-ville characters and get in some local shopping. The kids can decorate their own cookies and Santa’s Secret Shop allows them to shop for their loved ones. A candlelight walk in the evening around the town square and the NFR Calcutta round out the day.

What’s an NFR Calcutta you say? As a fundraiser for the Broadus Chamber of Commerce, 15 teams are “auctioned off.” National Finals Rodeo (NFR) events like saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping (header and heeler) calf roping, barrel racing and bull riding will entertain the crowd and at the end, points are added up with payouts going to first- through fourth-place winners. Broadus is the place for ya’ll to get your Cowboy Christmas!

MILES CITY CHRISTMAS STROLL – MILES CITY
Friday, December 6 – 5:00 p.m.

Pull on your best boots and holiday sweater and head to Downtown Miles City for their annual Christmas Stroll. Veteran’s Park is the place to be at 5:30 to catch the annual tree lighting and see Santa and the Polar Plunge Polar Bear. The Stevenson Clydesdales will be offering wagon rides and you’ll find delicious eats throughout Downtown. You can see more holiday lights at the Festival of Trees at BuyMT. At 7:00, head to 8^th and Main for the Polar Plunge and get a good laugh at those brave enough to hit the water. Many businesses will be open late for your holiday shopping needs as well and should you need some gift-wrapping head to Jaycees for free gift wrapping. More information available here.

ROUNDUP CHRISTMAS STROLL AND PARADE – ROUNDUP
Saturday, December 7 – 5 – 7 p.m.

Charming small towns in Southeast Montana during the holidays were made for making memories. The tree lighting and holiday parade kick off the evening at 5 p.m. – its starts at the south end of Roundup’s Main street. Immediately following, mom and dad can get some shopping in while the kids wait in line for pictures with Santa in the Masonic Hall. While you are there, peruse holiday trees decorated by the community at the Festival of Trees in the Masonic Hall. If you feel inclined, stick around until 7:00 p.m. and bid on a tree to take home. If being out late is a challenge, there’s a Children’s Christmas Bazaar at the Community Center from 10 a.m. – noon. More information available here.

HUNTLEY CHRISTMAS STROLL – HUNTLEY
Saturday, December 14 – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Holiday fun abounds in Huntley. There’s a bake sale at Barkemeyer Park and a vendor showcase at the Pryor Creek Golf Clubhouse. View beautifully decorated gingerbread houses at the Huntley Fire Station and marvel at twinkly lights at the Christmas Tree Festival hosted by the Huntley Project Museum of Irrigated Agriculture. And of course, no Christmas Stroll would be complete without the big guy in red – get your photos with Santa at the Huntley Fire Station from 2– 4 p.m. More information available here.
