Join us for a winter hike in the awe-inspiring Pryor Mountains. We’ll travel through sandstone cliffs south of Bridger, where Indigenous people have lived and traveled for millennia. The Comanche, Northern Arapaho, Northern Cheyenne, Eastern Shoshone, Crow, and Blackfeet used the Valley of the Chiefs for vision quests, burials, prayers, and gathering medicinal plants, so it is important to visit with respect. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for the abundant but often difficult-to-spot petroglyphs and pictographs.
